COMPULSIVE GAMBLERS ANONYMOUS

AN ONLINE FELLOWSHIP OF PEOPLE RECOVERING TOGETHER

Compulsive Gamblers Anonymous (CGA) is a fellowship of men and women who come together to recover from compulsive gambling and to help others who continue to struggle with gambling addiction in all its modern forms.Today’s gambling environment is very different from previous generations. Gambling is no longer limited to casinos, betting shops or card tables. Online casinos, cryptocurrency betting, in-game gambling mechanics, mobile betting apps, live sports trading, online poker, virtual casinos and 24-hour digital access have created a new and increasingly dangerous landscape for compulsive gamblers.

Many of us found ourselves trapped not only by traditional gambling, but by constant online access, secrecy, isolation and the speed of digital wagering. What once required travelling to a gambling venue can now happen silently at home, in work, on a mobile phone or during the middle of the night. CGA exists to provide hope, recovery and spiritual support for those suffering from compulsive gambling addiction in this modern age.

Our fellowship is built upon three essential foundations: Faith in God (as each member understands Him); Service to others and complete abstinence from gambling in all forms All CGA meetings are conducted online, allowing members across different countries, cities and communities to connect safely, confidentially and consistently from wherever they are. This online format ensures that help is always accessible to the compulsive gambler seeking recovery.

Compulsive gambling is a progressive emotional, mental and spiritual illness that affects people from every background, profession and age group.

In today’s digital world, gambling addiction often develops rapidly due to:

Instant mobile access
24-hour online betting
Cryptocurrency gambling
Live in-play sports betting
Online casinos and poker
Gaming and loot-box systems
Private digital gambling communities
Anonymous payment systems

Many compulsive gamblers discover they can no longer control their behaviour once they begin gambling. The obsession grows stronger over time, regardless of intelligence, financial status or willpower. CGA members believe that compulsive gambling cannot be cured through self-discipline alone, but recovery is possible through spiritual growth, honesty, fellowship, accountability and service.
